The dream:
a little group of friends, a helicopter, a still asleep valley to  the next day of a snowfall, one or two mountainguides, hundreds square kilometers of floury virgin snow, long breath-taking runs, dipped in the iced dust. The high Susa valley is one of the few European areas  where  heliskiing is possible. For a day, for a week-end or a week, a memorable experience, that can not missed in the career of a skier.
A different way of facing skiing, by replacing the helicopter for the traditional ski-lifts. In the winter season, Susa high valley turns into a heaven of the snow, always frequented by skiers.

 
Near the famous resort of Sestriere, you will find two more wonderful valleys: the val Thuras and the val Argentera , they have great tops with perfect skiing slopes, the level difference varies between the 700 and the 1600 meters. Plentiful perfect floury snow for a long winter period.  All the routes are feasible also for snowboard and telemark,  several runs are possible on the same day.Preferable groups from 5 or from 10 people, to everybody the A.R.V.A. device will be supplied (emitter/ receiver for avalanche search). Ski-Alpinism

If you have not tried it yet you can't even imagine the pleasure and satisfaction that a ski-touring experience might give you. It is important though, to always go with an experienced guide that will make sure that all risky situations will be avoided.
Ski-touring is an exciting activity for anyone who would like to be away from crowds.Full immersion in a quiet and uncontaminated environment. There is probably nowhere better than the Val Susa surrounding. These enchanting mountains full of snow, sun, with wooded areas  and wildlife,  and with breathtaking views!
